WATCHMAN

This blog is all about the verse in the bible Ezekiel 3:17-18 says “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say wicked man, ‘You will surely die, and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood”. This verse was very terrifying, but I had learned. This is my purpose in the school to be a WATCHMAN, to reach out students, to help them to reconcile to God. To offer there lives to God as a living sacrifice and to know that the center of there life was God. I remember the lyrics of all day by Hillsong United. The lyrics were “TO ALL MY FRIENDS, THAT DON’T KNOW YOU, I PRAY THAT YOU WOULD SAVE THEM TOO”. My prayer Lord lead me, to help reach out the students that didn’t know you. Use me to be your hands, and to be your feet, this is prayer in Jesus name Amen.

Bible Verse
Ecclesiastes 12:1
Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them

The Most Important Thing

This is about the movie “Facing the Giants”, this is one of my favorite movies because of the meaning of this movie. I know the movie can help students on their academic performances, maybe we can set aside our learning style but this thing is the one we should not forget in our studies. This is the relationship with God, in the movie facing the giants they area all believe in God’s power. I think the best thing that I saw at the movie, they say that “If we win, all the praises is to God, then if we lose all the praises to God”. This is the one that makes me cry out loud then I remember myself that. I will praise God in all he is giving to me because I know that God holding my future and my life. Then I pray for the students that all of them will accept Christ to there lives because this is the most important thing in order to live a life with so much happiness. God Bless

Hillsong - A Beautiful Exchange

Where did the theme of A Beautiful Exchange come from? What does it mean to the church and why is it important for the church to engage in a beautiful exchange?

'Beautiful Exchange' was a song that felt truly inspired…...Initially I started writing the song Easter 2009. I wanted to write a new song for Good Friday and at the time I had been speaking to Pastor Robert Fergusson about the concept of exchange. The thought so summarises the gospel, and how we in response are called to live a life of worship.

While some of the thoughts were on paper at Easter, it wasn't until September, whilst in Indonesia, that the song really came together. On the back of working for so long on the I-HEART film, I took two weeks out to surf and get away from everything off Sumatra in Indonesia. It was only once I got back to relative civilisation in Bali, that I couldn't do anything but write... I wrote eight songs in four days and 'Beautiful Exchange' was the first one that came out...

The emphasis is on what Christ achieved on the cross... The Great Exchange: ‘Trading His life for our offenses, for our redemption He carried all the blame, breaking the curse of our condition, perfection took our place.’

Initially I thought the song would work as a series of stanzas…and there was another verse that carried the thought of exchange. I knew that the song needed a 'B' section and the chorus came to me while surfing…’When only Love could make a way / You gave Your life in a beautiful exchange.’

But was it really a "beautiful" exchange? Is the cross an object of beauty? The cross is a paradoxical symbol - What was a symbol of shame, failure and death is now a symbol of hope, freedom and life. It was messy and ugly in every way - but so were our lives. I love that the title is a paradox of thought.

It seemed necessary to make it clear that what Jesus did on the cross was demonstrate His love and that in response to that demonstration, His desire is for us is to love Him and others in the same way....

I knew the melody was in a strange place for the chorus and though I thought it would work to sing it low (for a boy) it made sense to do it with a girl vocal.

The verses and chorus were now all set and felt like they communicated clearly the "beautiful exchange" that Jesus achieved on the cross; A holy and righteous God stepped down into our shoes to die our death and give us life. The song, however, would not be complete without clearly declaring 'our' response. I tried a few different tags, but none seem to really feel right. It wasn't til’ I was home in Australia and I was driving to sound check that the tag dropped. I wasn't planning on doing the song, but the entire drive to the church I was singing "Holy are You God, holy is Your Name, with everything I've got, my heart will sing "how I love You".

That is our response and our exchange. To lay down our lives to bring Him glory. Whatever it takes, whatever the cost.

I arrived at sound check and wrote the lyrics down. The band jumped on it and we lead it that very night. The church just kind of soaked it in, but as soon as we got to the bridge, it took off. I feel like the journey of the song serves to remind us of what it's all about and creates such a platform of passion and authenticity when people get to sing about our collective response to His sacrifice...

The prayer is that it brings us back to who Jesus is. A personal God. The ultimate demonstration of humility and Love. That we are drawn into a deeper understanding of grace and that while our response is sacrificial…God desires mercy on our behalf. To love Him and to do that through showing mercy and love to others.

It might get messy and ugly…But it's living for that exchange that will make the story of our lives and the greater Church truly beautiful.

God is a Writer too

I have in my mind, what do you think the worldwide bestselling book is? It‘s a book of stories sprinkled with poetry and information on the history of the world that is central to its plot. This book has giants, dragons, passionate romance, surprise endings, thrilling suspense as heroes flee their captors, and supernatural phenomena. But this is not a science fiction novel. Believe it or not, the bestselling book of all time is the one and only Holy Bible. I aon the net that the Guinness Book of World Records says that there have been 2.5 billion copies of the Bible sold. And that is only between 1815 and 1975. By the end of 1993 the whole Bible had been translated into 337 languages. At least one book of the Bible has been translated into 2,062 different languages. God must really know what people want if He can stay number one on the best-seller list is more than 400 years. He’s a great writer.

World Through Your Eyes

Perfect Plan

This is the story about my First blog titled "MY FUTURE DECIDED" and the name of my BlogSpot "Christ is my Anchor". The story starts when I went home from school. I start my daily devotion and start crying, because of some difficulties I have encountered in school. I cry out loud to God because I know that he is the one who can help me in the times of troubles. And I open my computer while crying and I started to listen some worship songs, the song I’ve played was entitled "MY FUTURE DECIDED" the lyrics was, YOU HOLD MY FUTURE IN YOUR HAND, YOU KNOW MY DREAMS AND YOU HAVE A PLAN then God gave me a message in the book of Jeremiah 29:11(NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you, " declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. God is so good he quickly answered my prayers. The next song I played was entitled “ALL I NEED IS YOU”. God is all that I need; now I know nothing to worry about all the difficulties that I have encountered in school. That’s why my another BlogSpot was entitled Christ is my Anchor, because God give me strength like an anchor that help the ship to restrict the motion. Godbless
